About Coach Melissa
Certifications
Melissa is a dedicated fitness professional with a passion for helping people of all ages discover strength, confidence, and joy through movement. With experience in personal training, group fitness instruction, and youth athletics, she brings both technical expertise and creativity to every session. She has coached youth athletes in track & field, gymnastics, and climbing, where she emphasizes skill development, goal setting, and body awareness in a supportive, motivating environment. She hopes to inspire others to integrate fitness, nutrition, and mindset into lifelong healthy habits and resilience.
As a young athlete herself, Melissa competed in gymnastics, softball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and track & field. She also took classes in rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, and weight lifting. More recently, she has enjoyed yoga, kickboxing, distance running, pickle ball, rock climbing, and HIIT workouts. And she is always up for a hike! Melissa has completed 8 obstacle course races and gone on two backpacking adventures - in Yosemite and Big Pines - and is deeply appreciative of the outdoor experiences / connection with nature that a healthy lifestyle allows.
Whether she’s leading a high-energy workout, developing a personalized training plan, or mentoring young athletes, Melissa’s focus remains the same: helping individuals reach their potential and enjoy the process. Her mission is to make fitness accessible, engaging, and meaningful.
